⏱ Berserker: There is no hard berserker, but phase 3 - soft enrage: Mutated Plague on a tank and (on hardmode) Unbound Plague will kill the raid over time if you don’t have time to knock down the boss.

Review

Professor Putricide is the final boss of the TsLK Plague Maker, the creator of Rotfang and Rotface. It stands in a room with two containers on the walls (green and orange), from which adds come out. The battle is divided into 3 phases with two intermissions (at 80% and 35% HP), during which the boss casts Tear Gas and drinks a potion at the table. Considered to be the second most difficult raid boss after the Lich King.

General tips
  • Assign a tank to the “Mutated Abomination” doll in advance - he will drink puddles of mucus throughout the battle and slow down the adds.
  • DBM is mandatory: it warns in advance about phase changes, adds and Tear Gas.
  • Save BL/Heroism and personal cooldowns for phase 3 - this is a DPS race.

Combat phases

Phase 1 Phase 1 - Swing 100% – 80% HP

The shortest and easiest phase. Putricide throwspuddles of slime (Slime Puddle) at random players, and one add comes out of the containers in turn -Gas cloud (orange container on the left) orVolatile Slime(green container on the right). They run away from the cloud, catch up with the slime and quickly kill it. The phase ends with the casting of Tear Gas and the transition to the second phase.

  • Puddle of Slime (Slime Puddle)
  • Gas cloud / Volatile Slime
  • Tear Gas + Create Concoction by 80%
Phase 2 Phase 2 - Two adds and a nasty one 80% – 35% HP

Everything from phase 1 plus new. The boss throws Malleable Goo (Viscous muck) straight into the range and lays out a Choking Gas Bomb (chemical bombs), the explosion of which removes the chance to hit. In 25 people both adds (cloud and slime) appear at the same time, so the DPS is divided, and Ooze/Gas Variable debuffs are applied to the target, prohibiting them from hitting the “alien” type of add. The Tear Gas phase ends and the transition to 35%.

  • Viscous muck (Malleable Goo)
  • Chemical Bombs (Choking Gas)
  • Simultaneous adds + Ooze/Gas Variable (25)
Phase 3 Phase 3 - DPS Race 35% – 0% HP

Putricide drinks the entire potion, swells up and gains Mutated Strength (+50% damage and attack speed). Adds no longer appear, but puddles, muck and bombs remain. A Mutated Plague is attached to the current tank, hitting the entire raid with increasing damage; The debuff cannot be removed - otherwise the boss will heal for 300k per stack. Added on hardmodeUnbound Plague, which is kited with a chain of rangers. Pure race: take down the boss before the damage to the raid becomes fatal.

  • Mutant Power (Mutated Strength)
  • Mutated Plague (Mutated Plague)
  • Unbound Plague (hardmode)

Abilities

Puddle of Slime
Raid damage
A growing green puddle on the floor, ~4.4–5.6k nature damage per second to anyone standing in it. They appear throughout the battle and interfere with movement.
Action: Do not stand in puddles; the abomination must drink them, gaining energy.
Gas swelling
Raid damage
An orange add that places 10 stacks of Gaseous Bloat on the target and chases after it, dropping a stack every tick. If he catches up - Expunged Gas: the area damage increases the more stacks left.
Action: The selected target should run away from the cloud, knocking down stacks; range/mile damage add.
Volatile Slug Secretions
Raid damage
Green add, hangs Volatile Ooze Adhesive: roots the target and hits ~4.4–6.7k per second. Having caught up with the target, it explodes for 68–72k damage, divided between nearby players.
Action: Catch up and kill the slime before it reaches its target; When an explosion occurs, stand next to each other to share the damage.
Viscous muck
Raid damage F.2
Shoots clumps of nastiness in a straight line at random rangers: ~9.7–20.5k damage and slows attack/cast speed by 200–250% for 20 sec to anyone in the line.
Action: Dodge, do not stand on the flight line, do not bunch up with the rangers.
Chemical bomb explosion
Raid damage F.2
The boss places bombs; after 20 sec they explode (Choking Gas Explosion) for ~15.6–20.5k damage to shadows and reduce the chance to hit by 75–100% for 15–20 sec to those within 10 yards.
Action: Move away from bombs before they explode, especially miles and tanks.
Tear gas
Other F.1
Before intermissions, fills the hall with gas for 20 seconds: the raid cannot do anything, but everyone becomes immune to damage. Used before Create Concoction and phase change.
Action: Nothing - wait it out, prepare cooldowns for the next phase.
Making a Brew
Other F.1
The boss drinks a potion at the table during intermission (80% and 35%), preparing for the next phase. Accompanied by Tear Gas.
Action: Use a pause for repositioning.
Mutant Power
Tank F.3
In phase 3, it increases the boss's outgoing damage and attack speed by 50%, dramatically increasing the load on tanks and heals.
Action: For tanks - cooldowns for survival, heal - enhanced healing for the tank.
Mutated Plague
Raid damage F.3
Hangs on the current tank, casts a shadow over the entire raid every 3 sec with exponentially growing damage across stacks. If the debuff wears off, the boss is healed by 300k for each application.
Action: Do not remove the debuff; hilam - mass healing; raid - knock down the boss before fatal damage.
Rampant Plague
Debuff F.3 HC
Phase 3 debuff on hardmode: hits every second with increasing damage. When approaching another player closer than 5 yards, he transfers the plague to him, and Plague Sickness remains on the previous target (+250% to future damage from the plague).
Action: Kite in a chain of rangers: each one holds the plague for ~10 seconds and passes it on to the next one. You cannot take two in a row without resetting Plague Sickness.
Mutation
Other
The tank clicks on the table (“DRINK ME”) and turns into a Mutated Abomination. The aura deals ~1–2k damage to the raid every 2 sec (heals easily). The doll's skills are below.
Action: The designated tank sits in the doll from the beginning of the battle.
Eat a slug
Other
Abomination Skill: Reduces nearby Mucus Pool and gives +4 Energy. The main way to gain energy.
Action: The abomination will constantly drink puddles, accumulate 50 energy before the first add.
Vomit Slug
Other
Abomination skill for 50 energy: ~6.3–8.7k damage and slows the target by 50%. Slows down the Volatile Slime, giving the raid twice as much time to kill it.
Action: Apply the Abomination to the Unstable Slime immediately after it appears.

Positioning

The raid stays closer to the center/one side of the hall so that there is room to remove adds and puddles. The green slime will spawn on the right, the orange cloud on the left: stand on the opposite side of the expected add to have time to kill it before the target.

🛡 Tank
The main tank keeps the boss in the center or against a wall. On hardmode in phase 3, bosses are led in circles to avoid Mutated Plague and puddles. The second tank is in the Abomination doll.
✨ Healer
Heals around the edges, outside of the Malleable Goo lines and bombs. Divide the raid: separate healing for the target of the Gas Cloud/Slime and for the stack upon explosion. In phase 3, maximum healing per tank under Mutated Strength + Plague.
⚔DD
The range is spread out so that Goo and explosions don't hit multiple people. We switch to adds instantly: we don’t touch the fleeing cloud target, we focus on the slime. At 25, take into account the Ooze/Gas Variable debuff - only hit “your” type of add.

Role Tips

🛡 Tips for the tank
  • Designate who gets into the Abomination before the pool - usually the second tank.
  • In phase 3 under Mutated Strength, keep personal cooldowns and ask for external saves.
  • On hardmode, guide the boss along a clean floor, away from puddles and away from ranges withUnbound Plague.
✨ Tips for healer
  • Prepare for a damage spike when explodingVolatile Slime and in phase 3.
  • A separate heal is assigned to the targetGas cloud, who runs away from the raid.
  • Mutated Plague cannot be dispelled - only to outheal the increasing damage to the raid.
⚔ DD Tips
  • Adds are the highest priority; Don't let the slime and cloud reach the target.
  • Don't stand on the lineViscous muck and move away from the chemical bombs.
  • Drain all cooldowns and BL/Heroism in phase 3 - this is a race against soft enrage.
