Maexxna - Naxxramas boss guide

Tactics for Mexna - the final boss of the Spider Quarter of Naxxramas. Entanglement and Flying Web mechanics, raid layout, role tips and loot.
Review
Mexna is a giant spider and the third and final boss of the Spider Quarter of Naxxramas. Tank in the center of the hall with his back to the wall, the raid stands behind. The battle is short and linear: the main thing is to survive the regular stuns of the Flying Web, pull players out of cocoons on the wall and remove Necrotic poison from the tank. At 30% HP, the boss goes into Frenzy - the most dangerous period.
- Everyone must enter the hall BEFORE the pool - after the agra the entrance is closed, latecomers remain outside.
- Assign 2-3 ranged DPS (hunters/mages/locks) to break the cocoons to the left of the entrance.
- Remove Necrotic Poison from a tank instantly - it greatly reduces the healing received.
- Stop the DPS by ~32%, survive the Flying Web and only then push through Frenzy with BL/Heroism.
Combat phases
The tank keeps the boss in the center, the raid dps from behind. The cycle repeats every ~40 sec: baby spiders spawn → cocoons on the wall → mass stunFlying web. Between the camps they removeNecrotic poison and finish off the adds until the next stun.

Positioning
The boss is in the center of the hall, the raid is behind him; behind the raid is a wall woven with cobwebs, where the cocoons fly away. A separate group of range DPS and healers stands further back to reach both the boss and the cocoons.
Role Tips
- Turn the boss around in a cone away from the raid and remember about the large hitbox.
- Copy all damage reduction CDs forRabies (Shield Wall, Last Stand, Divine Protection).
- At 25ppl, keep an OT ready, which will intercept the boss with a taunt after the web if the MT is dying.
- ShootNecrotic the poison from the tank is instantaneous - otherwise the healing is cut almost completely.
- 3-5 seconds beforeFlying web flood the tank with Hotami and a shield, keep instant healing on the exit from the camp.
- Don't forget to heal the cocoons - they take damage until the cocoon is broken.
- Those assigned to cocoons hit strictly their side (left/center/right), the left has priority.
- Mages place the spiderlings in a new area and send them away until the next web so that they do not attack the raid in the camp.
- Stop DPS at ~32%, then all burst CD and BL inRabies.
